Twitter deletes Nnamdi Kanu’s tweets

Social media platform Twitter has deleted a tweet shared by the leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, for violating its rules.

In the tweet made on June 2, 2021, Nnamdi Kanu had threatened the government authorities. He wrote, "any army they send to #Biafraland will die there. None will return alive even if it means sacrificing my people".

This action by Twitter comes after the federal government accused the platform of ignoring tweets of the Proscribed group leader but deleted the president's tweet citing civil war.
