Midfielder Austin Oladapo was delighted by Enyimba’s character against ES Setif as they came back from a goal down to secure a win.

The People’s Elephant trailed their opponents following Monsef Bakrar’s goal on 13 minutes before Oladapo saw his penalty saved by the visitor's goalkeeper.

Austin Oladapo makes amend for his earlier miss from the spot when he scored a stunning from 25 yards to get his side back.

The comeback was completed in the second half when Tosin Omoyele finished off Anayo Iwuala’s nice pass after wiggling his way past four defenders.

In a chat with brila.net, Oladapo who is the captain of the side said he is delighted to orchestrated the comeback after early setback.

“It was a just hard luck, but it  wasn’t enough to discourage me and I just had to work hard to make amend.”

“I knew the penalty miss might have negative impact on the team and that was the reason I wanted the equalizer badly in order to lift the spirit of the team.”

“I’m happy I was able to score the goal and we won at the end.” He told brila.net.

Next for the Aba Elephants is the trip to Algeria for the return fixture, Oladapo who has now scored three goals in the competition said they are ready for the challenge.

“Yea, we are ready for the return leg of the game and it was quite unfortunate that we couldn’t hold on for a point  South Africa.”

“We have put that behind now, so we will work hard for a draw or possibly a win in Algeria, although we still have one home game to play, but the two away we have before then are very important.” He concluded.
