Court orders CBN to unfreeze accounts of #EndSARS protesters

Abuja's Federal High Court has given an order to the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to unfreeze all the bank accounts of the 20 #EndSARS protestors.

The judge, Ahmed Mohammed, gave the order to unfreeze the accounts on Wednesday, February 10, 2021.

This was after the legal teams of the CBN and the defendants decided to put an end to the case.

The CBN had in October 2020 asked banks to freeze accounts of 20 #EndSARs protesters.

Some of the affected individuals are Bolatito Racheal Oduala, Chima David Ibebunjoh, Mary Doose Kpengwa, Gatefield Nigeria Limited, Saadat Temitope Bibi, Bassey Victor Israel, Wisdom Busaosowo Obi, Nicholas Ikhalea Osazele, Ebere Idibie, Akintomide Lanre Yusuf, Uhuo Ezenwanyi Promise, Mosopefoluwa Odeseye and Adegoke Pamilerin Emmanuel.
