Super Eagles goalkeepers trainer, Alloy Agu, on Tuesday confirmed he’s been paid part of the 22-month salaries owed him by the Nigeria Football Federation.

President of the NFF, Amaju Pinnick, promised that Agu would be paid along with Eagles head coach, Gernot Rohr, who was owed five months.

Pinnick told The PUNCH on Saturday that the federation had paid part of the arrears of both coaches.

“We paid Rohr two months salaries on Friday, we also paid Alloy nine months. Last December, we paid (Joseph) Yobo three months wages,” Pinnick said.

“Nobody wants to owe. Things weren’t like this before, because our premium sponsors Aiteo paid the bills and on time, but they too are feeling the financial strains of the pandemic.”

When our correspondent asked Agu if he had been paid by the NFF, the goalkeeper trainer said, “Yes, I was paid part of the money but I don’t want to say more than that. A lot of things were involved but I don’t want to talk about that.”
