Starboy Fizzy, an upcoming artist in Delta has reportedly committed suicide after a cleric revealed that he planned to use his mother for rituals.

According to The Nations, the incident happened early Thursday, January 29, 2021, in Alegbo area of Effurun, Uvwie council area of Delta state.

He reportedly drank sniper, a poisonous substance.

The incident reportedly occurred after he returned from a church vigil with his mother.

According to reports, the young man decided to end his life because the pastor of the church allegedly told his mother that he saw a vision he would use her for money rituals, according to The Nations.

It was gathered the mother of the deceased had divulged the Pastor’s warning to her neighbours to the displeasure of the son.

The upcoming artiste allegedly got depressed by the gossips making the rounds about the pastor’s revelation and chose to end it all.

Checks on YouTube revealed the deceased had a music video titled “Fire,” with MBA records.

In a related development, a young man, simply identified as Mimi, also hanged himself to a ceiling fan.

It was gathered the incident happened last Saturday, January 23, in his residence located along Uti Road in Effurun.

According to reports, the man, a father of four children, owed some unidentified persons an undisclosed amount of money and could not payback.

Source said around 5 am that Saturday, the wife discovered that he had hung himself in their sitting room using his belt.

A video of the deceased being carried away from the scene with a crowd of sympathizers at the background was viewed by The Nation.

Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Delta Police Command, DSP Onome Onovwakpoyeya, said neither of the cases was reported at the Ebrumede Police Division, which oversees the areas.
