The Ondo State Government had banned visitors and workers without wearing face masks from entering into the government house and offices.
The state acting Commissioner for Health, Dr Jibayo Adeyeye, stated this on Tuesday in Akure, adding that the order was approved by Governor Rotimi Akeredolu at the State Executive Council meeting.
He said, “It has been approved that nobody will be allowed to go or do anything in the government office without wearing face masks. This is to ensure compliance of COVID-19 protocols.
“We want to appeal to religious bodies to obey the guidelines. Whatever you want to do in the government offices, you must put on your face mask or you will be prevented from entering.”
The commissioner also disclosed that the state had completed its testing laboratory in Akure capable of testing about 300 to 400 samples in a day.
