We’re developing roles for monarchs, says El-Rufai

Kaduna State Governor Malam Nasir Ahmad El-Rufa’i has said his administration is developing roles for the traditional institution in the governance and security of the state.

He spoke in Kaduna on Thursday during a sensitisation programme organised by the Kaduna State Police Command, for monarchs, community leaders and other stakeholders in community policing.

The governor, represented by the Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Mr Samuel Aruwan, said the government is equally developing security reporting template, through which traditional rulers from village heads to district heads up to paramount rulers will report security issues in their domains.
