Again, Nigeria's power grid has collapsed on Sunday, November 29, plunging some parts of the country including Kaduna, Kebbi and Zamfara into a total blackout.

The unfortunate development was announced by the Kaduna Electric in a statement on Sunday afternoon, saying "collapse occurred at about 11:26."

Abdulazeez Abdullahi Head of corporate communication of the power company said appealed for calm and assured that the power supply "shall be restored as soon as the grid is back up."

"Dear Esteemed Customers, we regret to inform you that the loss of power supply in our franchise- Kaduna, Sokoto, Kebbi and Zamfara states- is as a result of the collapse of the national grid. The collapse occurred at about 11:26 am this morning."Also, speaking on the national grid collapse, the Eko Electricity Distribution Company said effort is ongoing with TCN to restore power back to the affected areas.

"Dear customer, The outage you’re experiencing is due to a system collapse on the National Grid. We are working with our TCN partners to restore supply as soon as possible. Please bear with us."
