Lobi Stars: Tamara Ezekiel confident of domestic double

Lobi Stars midfielder, Tamara Ezekiel has assured fans and followers of the club of a successful challenge of the Nigerian professional football league and the Aiteo Cup in the upcoming season.

This comes after Makurdi based club narrowly missed out on a continental ticket last season, but Tamara is confident the club is working hard to deliver their objectives for the new season, Brila.net said.

“We are going to challenge for everything on the home front, we want to win the title and also return to the continent."

Following the exit of Gbenga Ogunbote, Lobi Stars has hired former Nasarawa United and Sunshine Stars coach Kabir Dogo, to thinker the team next season. Tamara opined that the club couldn’t have hired anyone better.

“He’s a very good coach, we couldn’t have gone for anyone better," he told Brila.net.

“He has the experience and he’s one of best in the league, so his profile fits the club ” he concluded.

Meanwhile, the date for the resumption of the new NPFL season is still unknown, after the President of Nigeria Football Federation Amaju Pinnick said they are waiting for necessary permissions from Health authorities, the Federal Ministry of Youth & Sports.
