Nigerian star Osimhen tops list of most expensive players this transfer window

Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen has emerged as the most expensive player in the recently concluded transfer window.

The 21-year-old joined Italian League giants Napoli from Lille on a five-year deal valued around £73.2 million ($94.9m) last month.

His move to the San Paolo Stadium outfit saw him become Africa's most expensive player and he's already making waves at the club.

He was included in the Serie A matchday one team of the week following his contributions that led to their 2-0 win over Parma in less than 30 minutes.

German midfielder Kai Havertz closely follows Osimhen on the top ten most expensive deals that transpired this window. He joined the Blues from Bayer Leverkusen on a five-year deal worth £72m.

Ruben Dias comes third on the chart after completing a six-year move to manchester City in a deal valued around $80.4 million.

He has been touted to be the missing link in pep Guardiola's leaking backline since the departure of Vincent Kompany.
