As students of the Lagos state University, Ojo Campus resumed today, Monday, September 14, members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) and the Non-Academic Staff Union of Universities (NASU) staged a protest to call attention to their demands.

The protesting staff also barred the Vice-Chancellor of the institution, Prof Olanrewaju Fagboun and students from gaining access to the premises.

The protest is about the failure of the school management to over non-payment of increment in salaries promised by the Lagos state government.

The promise was reported made over a year ago.

According to Vanguard, members of the union took over the entrance of the university from security personnel and turned back both human and vehicular movements from going in and out of the premises.
