The general overseer of Omega Fire Ministries International, Apostle Johnson Suleman, has disclosed that he owes Governor Godwin Obaseki a debt of gratitude.

The man of God on Sunday, September 6, said he owes Obaseki a debt of gratitude for saving him and his family from being assassinated in 2018, Vanguard reports.

Legit.ng gathers that Obaseki, who is the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party for the forthcoming governorship election in Edo state, visited the church headquarters in the state with his deputy, Philip Shaibu.

The clergyman said if not for the governor, he would have been killed in 2018 when some people sent hired assassins to his church on New Year's Day.

According to Apostle Suleman, the assassins were waiting for the church to start shouting Happy New Year before they would open fire in the church to kill him.

The man of God said the governor got the information before him and sent security personnel to track the assassins and deal with them.

Apostle Suleman said he would forever be grateful to the governor for saving his life and that of his family.
