Former minister of postal service, Senator Hamisu Musa, was on Thursday, September 3, 2020 reported dead.
According to Ibrahim Musa, the deceased's son, the former minister died on Thursday at Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital after a long illness, Daily Nigerian reports.
Late Musa was educated at New York Institute of Management and became a senator on the platform of the defunct Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) in 1979 and represented Kano Southwest senatorial district in that capacity.
While at Senate, he chaired the Senate Committee on Social Development.
He was a recipient of an honorary doctorate degree and a national honour of Commander of the Order of the Niger, CON.
