Sports-Trek hails Amokachi appointment

Sports-Trek Foundation Africa has congratulated former Super Eagles player, Daniel Amokachi, on his appointment as Special Assistant on Sports to the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.).

Chairman of STFA, Emmanuel Tabuko , in a statement in Abuja, described Amokachi as an ideal role model to young people given his service to Nigeria as an ex-international and former coach.

Tabuko added that Amocachi’s appointment would further encourage young people to see sports as a career part to opulence.

Sports-Trek Foundation, which is preparing for the second edition of its annual sports camp in Lagos tagged, “Lagos Invasion”, described Amocachi’s vast experience in sports management and pragmatic human development as “one that would propel the youths for greater success in sports”.

Amokachi’s appointment, which took effect from August 11, was announced by Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, last week.
