Huspuppi’s arrest spoilt a lot for remote workers in Nigeria - Toyosi Godwin

Media expert, Toyosi Godwin has said that the news of Hushpuppi's arrest has spoilt a lot for many Nigerians working remotely with foreign organizations.

Hushpuppi was reportedly arrested yesterday for involvement with a criminal organization with ties with Nigeria.

The organization is said to have scammed states in America of their unemployment insurance program.

In reaction, Toyosi Godwin stated that the news might be part of why he was rejected by a Canadian Company who thought he was a scammer.

He tweeted: "This HushPuppi news has spoilt a lot for remote workers. Just read of a guy who got turned down by five clients because he is a Nigerian. Maybe that was why the Canadian company rejected me. They thought I was a scammer. Now, I'm scared of applying again. It's a struggle.

"They have dented our image big time! Nigerians are no longer trusted to handle huge amounts. Remember the lady that was removed from Finance dept because of Invictus Obi? This thing is real. This is why many freelancers use VPNs to get the jobs they wouldn't get with.

"Now, you not only have to fight racism, you have to fight the stigma of being seen as a fraudster.
And we have an act for this thing o. We have acted but our bastard government don't do anything. F*cktards".
