Lady to divorce husband over how he reacted when she opened up on being raped

A lady has stated that she is getting set to divorce her husband due to the way he reacted after she opened up on being raped.

Identified on Twitter as @txkate_, the lady stated that her husband blamed her for the rape incident because she was drinking at the time.

She shared her story on social media so that people can see why most rape victims don't report their experience.

She wrote: "I told my husband about my sexual assault case. & he blamed me for it. he called me a hypocrite & told me I put myself in that position, ”I knew better” & I shouldn’t have been there, that I shouldn’t have been drinking. We’ll be divorced in July. This is why we don’t report.

"It’s just crazy because the one person I thought would be there for me turned out to be the complete opposite".
