Social media influencers start fundraising for Jigawa rape victim

Social Media Influencers have begun a trust for Jigawa rape victim, Farishina.

The media influencers, @Jollz and @fkabudu who co-host the ISWIS Podcast were moved by Farishina's story and offered to raise some money for the girl to undergo therapy, cover medical bills, complete her education and support her family.

"She's only 12. And she's been through what no one should ever go through. She's one of 8 children and had to be out of school working at the market. That's where 11 grown men would harass, rape and threaten her if she tried to tell anyone what was happening

"Those men have been arrested and will hopefully be given the harshest sentence but we don't want this to be the defining story of her life. Let it be that people from all over came together to support her," @fkabudu said.

So far, over N10 million has been raised and more donations are still coming in.
