George Floyd: Mayweather Jr. volunteers to pay for funeral

US boxing legend Floyd Mayweather Jr., aka the Money Man has volunteered to pay for the funeral of late George Floyd.

Floyd was murdered a week ago by Minneapolis police, Derek Chauvin, leading to massive protests and chaos across the USA.

TMZ reports that Mayweather Jr has offered to fund the cost of Floyd’s funeral.

He wants to foot the bill for four services taking place in Houston, Minnesota, Charlotte and another yet-to-be-determined location.

TMZ said Mayweather Jr’s closest people told them: “He is just doing what he feels is right in his heart.”

A new update claims Floyd’s family have accepted Mayweather Jr’s offer.

People across the world have paid respect to George Floyd, condemning the broad daylight murder which was recorded on camera.

Football stars including, Paul Pogba, Jadon Sancho, Marcos Rashford, and the Liverpool first team, have also paid tributes to the deceased.
