...even though it apologised
Nigerians are not letting a mistake made by the Federal Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy slip by.
It so happened that while CEO of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, and the Minister of Communication and Digital Economy, Isa Pantami were embroiled in a huge battle on Twitter NG yesterday, the Ministry's social media handler goofed.
The ministry had in the heat of the clash on Sunday tweeted: “Like seriously! When you have no offence or facts to challenge his intellectual know-how you resort to report the colonisers. I hear, you are Lampard’s twin. Continue… Indaboski Bahose will sure visit you soon.”
That singular tweet angered Social Commentator, Kayode Ogundamisi, who tagged the ministry as a big embarrassment.
This was enough to elicit a profound apology from the ministry which read:
"We sincerely apologize to Nigerians, this was a mistake by one of the handlers of this account who thought he was tweeting with his personal account. We are a responsive handle and would not get involved with such."

The employer too. Pantami should read a riot act to his team or else go back to being DG or an aide. What's going on here?

Really sad. And there’s the word “communications” in the ministry’s name!
