Fire razes popular Dugbe market at Ibadan

Reports gathered by www.mynigeria.com revealed that the popular Dugbe market located in Oyo State has been gutted by fire.

Reports revealed that the fire was caused by an electric spark, although the source has not yet been determined.

Many shops have and office buildings situated near the market have been razed by fire, according to reports.

MyNigeria also gathered that the fire started at about 1pm with goods such as clothing materials, electrical and electronic appliances, mattresses and eyeglasses believed to be destroyed.

Traders in the area and residents defied the partial lockdown in Oyo State as they trooped to the popular market.

According to The PUNCH reports, some vehicles also perished in the fire incident.

As of the time of filing this report, firemen were still struggling to put out the inferno.
