The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board has promised to support the Nigerian military forces in any means it can.
This reassurance was made when the Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board, Engr. Simbi Wabote, received the Commander 16th Brigade of the Nigerian Armed forces, Bayelsa Command, Brigadier General, E.T. Essien at the Board’s headquarters in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.
General, ET. Essien, who just assumed command two months ago, sought a means of connecting the command to the NCDMB power plant having been briefed by his predecessor about the command's working relationship with the Board.
Responding to the request, Wabote said connection to the power plant was a commercial venture, where the NCDMB also pays for what it consumes.
“We are ready to talk to any agency but it will be on the basis of pay as you use because we want it to be sustained," the Executive Secretary said.
Nonetheless, Wabote thanked the military for the protection of life and properties in the state.
