Floyd Mayweather Jr. has embraced his "brother", Deontay Wilder, after losing his first-ever fight to Tyson Fury in their rematch at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas over the weekend.
Deontay Wilder lost the fight to the Gypsy King via TKO in a seven-round thriller.
Fury captured the WBC heavyweight championship, the Ring belt and remain the lineal champion.
Mayweather understands how physically and mentally tough it is to step in the boxing ring — and put an undefeated record on the line — so he sent a thoughtful note via Instagram Sunday night to Wilder. [LBS]
“Win, Lose or Draw…. Deontay @BronzeBomber is our brother that has accomplished many triumphs and as a community, we should all uplift and support him throughout it all. No matter what, you’re still a winner in my eyes, King!” Mayweather wrote.
