List of 18 parties that didn't get deregistered by INEC

Below is the list of 18 political parties that survived the hammer by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, which deregistered some yesterday.

74 political parties were deregistered yesterday by the electoral body with 18 left.

According to the consititution, "A political party can be deregistered if there is a breach of any of the requirements for registration

"A political party can also be deregistered on failure to win at least 25% of votes cast in one State of the Federation in a Presidential election or one local Government of a state in a Governorship election

A political party can be deregistered if it fails to win at least one ward in the Chairmanship Election; one seat in the national or state House of Assembly election; or one seat in a Councillorship election."
