$1.2b Malabu Oil deal: Court begins arraignment of Adoke, 6 others

The arraignment of former Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation (AGF), Bello Adoke (SAN) and six others has commenced before the High Court of the Federal Capita Territory (FCT) in Gwagwalada, Abuja.

The defendants are being arraigned on a 42-count charge in which they are accused of committing fraud in the handling of the settlement agreement on the Malabu Oil deal effected under President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration.

An official of the court has started reading the charge to the defendants.
