Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike has thrown jabs at an unidentified Monarch, tagging him a fake.

This little exchange occurred at a meeeting with traditional rulers at the Rivers State Government house.

He identified one of the Monarchs who nodded in approval to his speech as one of those causing problem in the state.

In anger, he warned the monarch not to nod his head during any of his speeches.

Wike's words: "Stop shaking your head. You are one of those causing problem. They gave you chieftaincy- young boy and you don't know what to do with it. And when I am speaking, you are shaking you head like this. All fake."

The Monarch who was so dumbstruck by the words could not utter a word.

In a related development, the Rivers State Governor was seeking to front a bill stripping unrecognized traditional rulers of the right to answer "Your Royal Highness," as one of their titles.

He stressed the importance of a staff office. He noted that the staff of office is a symbol of authority which shows the Government recognizes them.

"I hope you understand the implication of your staff of office. You dont know the authority it carries. Any person can carry any walking stick but staff of office shows that this Government recognizes you," Wike said.

Stressing the matter, he added: "It is not for bedroom or shrine. It is for official functions. We must show good examples."

Wike promised to propose a bill to the State House of Assembly seeking to strip unrecognized traditional rulers off the right to answer "Your Royal Highness," until they are recognized by the Rivers State Government.

"I will make sure we propose a bill to the State House of Assembly. If you are not a government recognized ruler, you cannot answer your royal highness. This is to protect the institution, you wont be there forever," he said.

He also warned recognized traditional rulers to always carry their staff of office at all times.

"Next time I address you and you are not with your staff of office then another person will have it," the State Governor warned.
