An ongoing investigation by the Lagos State government has halted the planned burial of Favour Daley-Oladele, the female final year student of Lagos State University, LASU, who was slain by her boyfriend.

Favour's uncle, Toyeme Solomon made this known as he addressed family and friends who were present at the Atan Cemetery, Akoka, Lagos.

Favour met her end in Osun State at the hands of her boyfriend Owolabi Adeeko, his mother Mrs Bola Adeeko, and a C&S pastor, Segun Philips.

Speaking to The Nation, Solomon revealed that the Lagos State government advised his family to hold on with the burial plans until investigations are concluded.

“What really happened was when we went to collect the corpse of Favour – we were told of a call that came in from the Lagos State Ministry of Health that we should hold on.

“They said we should not carry the body till they finish the investigation. So, that’s why we couldn’t go ahead with the burial today.

“The investigation is being carried out under the supervision of the Lagos State Ministry of Health and it is when the investigation is completed that we will know when to bury the corpse,” he said.
