Former Senator representing Kaduna Central, Shehu Sani, has condemned the killing of Christians on Christmas day by members of the Islamic State West Africa Province, ISWAP, saying it is not supported by majority of Muslims.

MyNigeria reported that 10 Christians and one Muslim were killed by ISWAP who claim it was done to avenge the death of late IS leader, Abubakar Al-Bhagdadi.

Their action and ideology, which has been condemned both locally and Internationally, has now been dissociated from that held by majority of Muslims by Shehu Sani.

In a tweet, he wrote: “IS conduct is neither accepted nor consented by the overwhelming majority of Muslims and their thoughts and ideology are not representative of Islam.

“There should be a united front of people of all faiths in loudly denouncing their recent murderous act.”
