Government suspends activities of IPMAN in Cross River -

The Cross River State Government has announced the suspension of the activities of the Independent Petroleum Marketers’ Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) in the state.

The suspension, DAILY POST gathered, takes effect immediately, pending the resolution of the leadership crisis in the association.

In a press statement made available to newsmen in Calabar on Tuesday, the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Ben Ayade of Cross River, Mr Christian Ita, the group was ordered to stop further activities forthwith in the State.

“Consequently, no group is to parade itself as the leadership of the association,” he stated.

DAILY POST reports that the group had been entangled with leadership tussle, which had caused scarcity of petroleum products in the state.
