Your father was called a thief - Seyi Law slams Atiku's son

Comedian Seyi Law has slammed Shehu Abubakar, son of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, for taking a swipe at President Bola Tinubu.

This was after US President Donald Trump slammed Nigeria as a disgraced country which he might invade soon if the killing of Christians by Islamic jihadists and Fulani militias does not stop.

According to Atiku's son, Nigerians need not be upset by Trump's tag because they accepted a drug baron as President.

He wrote on X, "Why are some upset that Donald Trump called us disgraceful? When they announced a drug baron as our President, what do you call that? Prideful? I know it hurts our pride as a nation but we have to first look inwards & hold ourselves accountable before we accuse outsiders."

Reacting, Seyi Law recalled how Shehu's father was called a thief by his boss and former President Olusegin Obasanjo.

The comedian also recalled how Atiku deleted a social media post condemning the killing of a Christian girl, Deborah Samuel, by the Muslim north, who accused her of blasphemy.

He wrote, "This is coming from someone whose father was called a thief by his principal and indicted as a money launderer in the US. Someone whose father deleted his handler's tweet about the extrajudicial killing of Deborah. Na really wa."

Other X users also pointed reasons why Trump called Nigeria a disgraced country, showing Atiku's involvement in the downward spiral of Nigeria.

@uduakidio said, "This is the reason Trump called us disgraceful. Someone diverted this much, and instead of being in prison, he's pushing to be president. Imagine if he did this in China? E for don be for am."

@_anubankz said, "You wey USA get plenty case on your papa too dey talk."
