You will see, feel, touch the govt - Minister of Youth nominee promises Nigerian youth

Minister of State for Youth nominee, Ayodele Olawale Olawande has promised to take governance to young Nigerians should he be confirmed by the senate.

Mr. Olawande made the promise at his screening on Wednesday, October 4.

The 34-year-old most recently served in the Office of the Special Adviser to the President on Innovation from 2019 to 2023.

He said at the screening that it is time for Nigerians to see, feel, and touch the government.

"As a minister of Youth, I am not going to seat down in the office and relax and want the youth to come to me, No. It is time for us to go the root, it is time for us to go back to the school, train them, talk to them, let them see the government, let them feel the government and let them touch the government."

"It is time as a young man and as a 34-year-old man for the youth of this country to see the youth as their own because I am coming from them," he said.

Mr. Olawande is a community development expert and youth leader in the governing All Progressives Congress, APC.
