'You have to watch it' - Rufai Oseni to Minister Ohanenye as she denied saying women shouldn't pay taxes

Rufai Oseni, Arise Television's new anchor has assured Minister of Women Affairs, Uju Ohanenye that the media wants her to succeed in her duties.

Oseni gave the assurances on Friday, December 22.

He was reacting to a statement by Minister Ohanenye who in a statement denied advocating that Nigerian women should be exempted from paying tax.

The report stated that the minister made the statement at the 4th Annual Forum of the Women, Peace, and Security Sector Reference Group 2023 in Abuja on Monday, where she emphasized the importance of empowering women to enhance their daily pursuits.

Oseni in his reaction said: "Minister, we here in the media, we have got nothing against you and want to make your life better but you have to watch it. Are you not the one that talked about the attempts to ensure the UN, is that doctored?"

"We want to make your work better but if we see that you are fond of wanting in some regard, we state it the way it is and if you have qualms with us, go ahead and write it for clarification."
