Okey Joe Onuakalusi's response to a question asked by Arise TV host, Dr. Reuben Abati has emerged on social media.

Dr. Abati in an exclusive interview on Friday, June 16 asked the House of Representatives for Oshodi-Isolo Federal Constituency 2 if they received any financial inducement to vote for the newly elected Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas.

Onuakalusi in an interesting response opined that Dr Abati who has once worked in the presidency should be able to respond to questions like this due to his experience in politics.

The Labour Party member debunked the rumors afterward.

Tajudeen Abbas, the anointed candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) represents Zaria Federal Constituency of Kaduna State, North-west Nigeria.

He was elected Speaker of the 10th House of Representatives polling 353 votes to emerge the winner.

The other contestants, former Deputy Speaker Idris Wase and Sani Jaji, polled three votes each.

The new Speaker, a former lecturer, was first elected to the House in 2011. He succeeds Femi Gbajabiamila.
