'You are thief, fraudster' - VeryDarkMan tackles Blord, makes fresh fraud allegations

Nigerian activist and social critic, Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, has once again aimed at cryptocurrency entrepreneur Linus Williams Ifejika, widely known as Blord.

In a recent video shared on his Instagram page on October 16, 2025, VDM accused Blord of running what he described as a sophisticated online scam through his fintech platform, Billpoint.

According to VDM, the app, which advertises cheap airtime and data services, allegedly collects users’ sensitive personal information, including BVN, NIN, and phone numbers, for fraudulent and money laundering purposes.

He further claimed that several social media influencers and online celebrities flaunting luxury lifestyles are benefiting from such deceitful platforms, urging Nigerians not to be deceived by appearances.

“You see why I talk to most of them anyhow, I like? I know what most of them do and how they keep up these appearances. It’s called showbiz. No pressure yourself oo, no be hard work bring most of them here. You will understand when you are privileged to information. This is why I always brag with integrity, and it p*sses them off,” VDM said.

VDM’s remarks have reignited his ongoing feud with Blord.

A clash that started just weeks ago, after the businessman launched his modified iPhone 17 Pro in Nigeria, has generated mixed reactions from online and offline spectators.

@Design4ox___"This VDM needs to be careful to avoid law suit."

@motionhse_edits___" Again this is very funny and stupid. We all use WhatsApp for free, does anybody make any payment on WhatsApp, no.
But Facebook paid $19 billion in 2018 to acquire WhatsApp. Why? Simply because of the bulk of user data they have. Will VDM say Facebook scams people using WhatsApp data? Uneducated f00l"

@AmosSoma37877___"VDM don turn this whole Blord saga into full-time Netflix series at this point. Every new day na fresh episode with bigger plot twist. The way he dey dig receipts ehn, you go think say na EFCC apprentice. Blord go need more than PR videos to clean this mess because the internet no dey forget. The amount of gist wey don pile up fit give person high blood pressure. This one no be normal social media dragging again, e don enter investigative journalism level."

@FolajeuwoNelson__"Which app is innocent of data collection? If you sit down read terms and policies of most apps you won't use them but we're too lazy to read. WhatsApp dey harvest millions of data daily, they are just doing theirs legally."

@Mrglory_aj___"Joint ventures weh I leave from secondary that year, na now I they understand am, to typical example na wetin Ola of Lagos do, join ventures, we learn every day tho"
