One Wrestling star who was in the ring this month has tested positive for coronavirus, the WWE has confirmed.

And now they have decided to test of all its wrestlers and employees who have been on site for recent tapings in Orlando, Florida “out of an abundance of caution and to ensure the health and safety of the company's performers and staff.”

Dr. Jeffrey Dugas, the WWE's associate medical director, said last night: “A developmental talent, who was last on-site at WWE's training facility on Tuesday, June 9, has tested positive for Covid-19.

“Since that time, no other individuals that attended the facility have reported symptoms.”

As a result of COVID-19, WWE stopped its tours and relocated WrestleMania 36 from Tampa Bay.

WWE was allowed to continue taping its shows and pay-per-views after it was deemed “essential business” by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.

WWE has recently been using developmental talent to stand ringside behind a plastic screen in order to create a crowd-like atmosphere at TV tapings.

They had only been conducting temperature checks on its employees plus getting them to answer questionnaires upon entering the Performance Center.

WWE taped several episodes of television yesterday and will not resume filming more until the results of its Covid-19 tests are received.
