Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has revealed that he has no interest in running against President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.
Speaking during an interview on Friday, November 24, Wike noted that he is committed to the success of Tinubu's administration.
According to him, Tinubu's emergence as president, gave him the position as Minister of FCT, and nothing would make him contest against the president in 2027.
Wike said despite several warnings against supporting Tinubu's candidacy, he stood his ground in support of justice.
He said;
“Tinubu made me the FCT minister and I won’t allow anybody to crumble our political structure. No!
“Tinubu made me minister, people don’t understand, I have character. What will happen in 2027? I stood and I said I’m not going to support injustice. I was threatened and some people said they will do me this and that. They tried many options including using major Generals.”
