Wike says APC has started making false promises ahead of 2023

Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers state says APC has failed to fulfill the promises it made to Nigeria Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers state says APC has failed to fulfill the promises it made to Nigeria

Nyesom Wike, the governor of Rivers state, has said that his administration’s achievements have silenced the All Progressives Congress (APC) and other political parties in the state.

Legit.ng gathered that the governor noted that ahead of the 2023 general election the APC has again started making false promises to the people.

He said the party said it would construct a University of Transport, develop a deep seaport and industrial park in the state.

Wike made this assertion during the reception organised by the Rivers state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to welcome thousands of APC members back into PDP.

The defectors included a former director of finance and administration of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Henry Ogiri; APC south-south administrative officer, Gloria Boma; Lolo Ibieneye, and Alhaji Hassan Douglas.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had previously reported that as controversies continue to follow the killings in Oyigbo in Rivers state, Governor Wike was asked to tread with caution so as not to escalate the situation.

It was reported that the call was made by the Anambra state chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) on Thursday, November 12, in Onitsha in a press briefing.

The chairman, Rev. Dr. Ndubuisi John, said Wike needs to avoid generalising his anger towards the Igbo race. He urged him to govern with the wisdom of God as the shepherd of the state.

He said it is wrong for Wike to show his anger towards the Igbo race. Going further, he encouraged him to act maturely as a governor who is occupying an exalted position.
