Residents of Rivers state has been captured in a video declaring their support for Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party.
In a video making rounds, the residents which comprises of market women, business men, women and the youths hit the streets with banners, fliers to campaign for Peter Obi.
Recall that Rivers state Governor, Nyesom Wike has said he will declare his support for one of the presidential candidates, following his dispute with his party's presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party.
However, there has been speculations that Wike plans to endorse Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress.
Although Wike is yet to announce his preferred presidential candidate, the people of Rivers state stormed the streets to campaign for their favourite, Peter Obi.
Some of the market women waved their Permanent Voters Card (PVCs), as they look forward to the election on Saturday, February 25.
Reacting to this video, some Nigerians took to social media to share their thoughts.
Atleast in Rivers state market women can come out openly to sing for their preffered candidate but here in Lagos market women can't come out openly like this or else their shops will be taken from them.
