Why it is wrong for pastors to pray for people - Reno Omokri

Former presidential aide, Reno Omokri has stated that the act of pastors praying for people is wrong.

According to him, the act causes a major problem in Christendom because it makes believers put faith in their pastors instead of God.

Sharing on Instagram, Reno Omokri wrote:

"Instead of asking your pastors to pray for you, ask them to teach you how to pray, or learn by yourself. If your pastor prays for you and God answers his prayer for you, what will happen is that you will have faith in your pastor, instead of in God. And this is now a major issue in Christendom. That is why people now call on the God (or god) of their pastors. Pastors undermine believers’ faith by praying for them. If you read Luke 11:1, Christ's disciples did not ask Him to pray for them. Rather they said "Lord, teach us to pray". You have DIRECT ACCESS to God. You don't need me or any pastor to pray for you. Find yourself a prayer partner and agree in faithful prayer!"
