Reno Omokri, a leading member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has called out Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party in the 2023 elections for comments he made in a recent interview.
Obi in an exclusive interview on News Central TV said he never promised he would remove the fuel subsidy on his first day in office. His comment was in reaction to the host who asked what his thoughts were on subsidy removal.
"I didn't say I will remove subsidy from day one. I say I will remove it but not from the first day," Obi said.
Reacting to the video that has emerged, Reno Omokri asked; "Why does Obi lie so often and so effortlessly? while he shared a campaign video of Peter Obi before the 2023 presidential elections.
Obi said in the video: "I can assure you that it(subsidy) will go immediately as I have said that it is organized crime and I can't allow it to stay a day longer."
