Arise TV anchor, Rufai Oseni has applauded the Chairman of ThisDay Live/Arise News, Prince Nduka Obaigbena for his continuous influence in the media space in Nigeria.

Oseni eulogized Prince Nduka on Arise Television on Monday, December 18 after Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris commended the media entrepreneur for championing media innovation in the media landscape in Nigeria at the ThisDay Alumni Association Annual Dinner where 13 members completed their tour of duty of government and political parties.

He said: "It shows ThisDay is a very strong brand and kudos to Prince Nduka Obaigbena CON and I would like to say this. One other reason why I came to work at Arise is the fact that Prince Nduka is probably only the media proprietor I know who supports your dreams and ambitions. And the relationship is always tight even when you leave," Oseni said.

He continued: "You don't have too many of them. It always rancours when people leave sometimes but it just shows the big heart he has got. Most of these people who went to government and served very well, you will hear their stories that Prince Nduka played a very major role. He is always ready to say go and serve and your place is still always here after serving the government and you come back.

The Alumni Association had earlier congratulated Nduka Obaigbena for winning the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Diamond Awards for Media Excellence (DAME).

The association, yesterday, in a statement jointly signed by its President, Dr. Tony Onyima and the Secretary, Juliana Taiwo-Obalonye, said the remarkable achievement was a testament to Obaigbena’s outstanding contributions and accomplishments in the media space across Nigeria, Africa and beyond.

“On behalf of the members of the THISDAY Alumni Association, we write to extend our warmest congrats"
