A former gubernatorial candidate of Kogi State, Dino Melaye has disclosed the reason for his silence in recent times.

The former Kogi West Senator, in a recent interview on ‘Prime Time’, a programme on Arise Television on Monday, September 9, says he was more focused on his academics than the controversial political landscape.

According to him, his silence paid off, indicating that he has not only graduated from the law school but has been called to the bar.

“I have been quiet because I was in school. I did not want Nigeria to happen to me. I needed them to let me graduate.

“I have graduated now, and I have been called to the largest bar in Africa,” he said.
