'Where are the INEC officers?' Okonjo-Iweala expresses frustration from long hours of waiting to vote

The Director General of the World Trade Organisation, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, has expressed her frustrations in the ongoing Presidential and National Assembly elections.

This is after she said that she had been at her polling station for more than an hour but there is yet to be a single INEC official around to help them go through the voting process.

Sharing this via a tweet, the WTO boss said that there had been many other voters who had been at the Umuda Isingwu village Umuahia polling station since 7am.

“Waiting to vote at my polling station in Umuda Isingwu village Umuahia, Abia state. I have been waiting one hour. Many villagers have been here since 7 am. It is 11.23 am now. Where are the INEC officers??” she tweeted.

Many other Nigerians have been casting their votes across the country, with a number of polling stations across the country experiencing similar challenges.
