DJ Cuppy, the daughter of billionaire Femi Otedola, has sparked conversation online with her response to Pastor Enoch Adeboye’s announcement of a special prayer event for unmarried youths.
The announcement was made on Thursday, October 30, by Oladele Balogun, Pastor Adeboye’s special assistant on Administration. The session is designed for unmarried young adults, mature singles, waiting mothers, and their families.
According to the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), the purpose of the prayer session is to offer spiritual guidance and support to individuals seeking breakthroughs in marriage and other personal blessings.
Pastor Adeboye highlighted that singles and mature adults represent over 40% of Nigeria’s adult population. This significant number inspired the church to organize a dedicated prayer event to address the spiritual, personal, and marital needs of this group.
The special prayer session will take place on November 2, during the November 2025 Thanksgiving Service at The Throne of Grace, RCCG National Headquarters, Ebute-Metta, Lagos. Activities will begin at 8:00 a.m., allowing attendees to come together in pursuit of blessings, guidance, and spiritual growth.
DJ Cuppy responded to the announcement on social media with a playful comment, writing: “When? Am asking for a friend.” Her post quickly drew reactions and sparked discussions among her followers.
Cuppy’s curiosity about the event follows her recent emotional video about her younger sister, Temi, which received an outpouring of sympathy and support from fans. Temi’s marriage to singer Mr. Eazi is believed to have influenced Cuppy’s reflections on family and may have contributed to her interest in Pastor Adeboye’s special prayer for singles.
