Top journalist, Rufai, Oseni, has taken a swipe at President Muhammadu Buhari after he said his predecessor, Goodluck Jonathan call to concede defeat in 2015 presidential election was unprecedented and un-Nigerian.

Sharing his take on the president’s farewell meeting with his media support group, the Buhari Media Organisation (BMO), Rufai noted that what is un-Nigerian is the promises he failed to fulfil during his 8 years in office.

He questioned if President Muhammadu Buhari could have done same as Goodluck Jonathan.

According to Oseni, when Buhari was faced with election lose, Nigerians remembers what he did and the things he said and the people will not forget.

Speaking on the 2023 election, he noted that what Nigerians ordered from the Independent National Electoral Commission is not what the citizens got.

“What we ordered from INEC is not what we got. INEC said they were going to transmit results; we didn’t see transmission of results.”

“Till today, they’ve not been able to tell us what constitute the technical glitch that didn’t make them transmit results.”

He urges Buhari not to insult Nigerians with his comment on Goodluck Jonathan as it is Nigerians who conceded defeat because they are peaceful people.

Adding that, “It is also Nigerian to challenge results like people are doing in court… For me I think what is un-Nigerian is what has happened in the last eight years that there were so many promises made but nothing was achieved. As at today, dollar is N760, when they came in 2015, dollar was less than 200, I think that is un-Nigerian.”
