What I do next will be based on legal advice – Adams Oshiomhole

Adams Oshiomhole has said that his next line of action concerning his suspension as the national chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, will be based on legal advice.

Oshiomhole's suspension was upheld by a court of appeal yesterday.

The APC has now declared former governor of Oyo State, Abiola Ajimobi, as its acting national chairman.

This is, however, being disputed by the party's deputy national chairman Victor Giadom who claims the position for himself.

Speaking on Channels Television's Politics Today, Oshiomhole said: "If you ask me what I am doing now, I am resting in obedience to the court order, I am reflecting, and I am consulting with my lawyers.

"Our party is not an armour force organisation. It is a structured organisation based on rules and regulations.

"I was suspended or I was allegedly suspended by a word & the Court of Appeal in its wisdom has now upheld that suspension.

"The NWC was never taken to court & there is no judicial pronouncement to the effect that NWC no longer exists. The court has not frozen the constitution of APC".
