The Chairman of the Action Democratic Congress in Osun State, Charles Omidiji, has said the reported plan by Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, to join the All Progressives Congress may give his party a chance to win next year’s governorship election in the state.

Omidiji, in an exclusive interview with Sunday PUNCH, said many members of Peoples Democratic Party who are displeased with Adeleke’s plan to join APC were willing to decamp to the ADC.

He further stated that many people in APC miffed by the Adeleke’s plan to join the party would also join ADC.

“We will be so happy if he decamps to the APC. It will be a problem for us if he stays in the PDP.

“A lot of PDP and APC members have already joined us. So, our prayer is for him to join the APC. That will pave way for us. It means we will win the gubernatorial election. There is no fight in our party. We are managing our affairs perfectly.”

Rumour has been making the rounds that Adeleke would be moving to APC, though the governor has denied such move.
