Presidential spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga, has said former presidential candidate Peter Obi will never be forgiven for calling for a foreign invasion of Nigeria.
MyNigeria reported that a few weeks ago, U.S President Donald Trump threatened to send troops 'guns-a-blazing' if the Nigerian government doesn't put an end to the killing of Christians in the country.
Reacting, Obi Saud, "For me, it is a welcomed speech, and I would have been begging him."
He also insinuated that if he were President, he would be glad that Trump made such an offer because his number one priority would be security.
"If today you declare me President, I can tell you, the number one priority is the security of lives and property. Number two priority is to pull people out of poverty, because the more you pull people out of poverty, the more you reduce criminality. Number three is to invest in education," he said while speaking at a seminar.
Reacting, Onanuga shared on X, "We shall never forget and forgive Peter Obi for supporting a foreign invasion of Nigeria."
