We're ready to exhume corpses of killed Christians - Rev Dachomo denies burying empty coffins

Plateau State-based preacher and community advocate, Evangelist Ezekiel Dachomo, has revealed that he felt depressed and suicidal when he heard of accusations, which Sheikh Ahmad Gumi started, that he and his people were burying empty coffins to advance a false narrative of genocide against Christians in the North.

Sheikh Gumi, who has been speaking favourably for terrorists, claimed he received the information from a doctor who wrote to him about the alleged situation.

He said, “A doctor wrote to me: ‘Do you know that some Middle Belt Christian groups are now staging fake mass killings. They are burying empty coffins and recording the process as if real victims were killed, just to push the narrative of a Christian genocide. This is desperation at its peak. A disgrace. Manipulating information just to provoke hatred and international sympathy? I hope it’s not true!”

Reacting, Dachomo said, “The person spreading that accusation is a member of the terrorists and has been their chief negotiator,” Dachomo stated.

“He created this narrative to water down the mounting evidence of genocide against Christians in northern Nigeria.”

He, however, insisted on the readiness of him and his people to exhume the corpses for the world to see and judge if they were empty, as Sheikh Gumi is alleging.

The fiery preacher further explained that the only way to stop the continued attacks by the Fulani terrorists on peaceful Christian communities in the state is for the communities to acquire a means of self-defence.

“All Christian communities must enter the ring of self-defence,” the preacher said. “If they don’t go out alive whenever they come in to attack our villages, they will think twice before coming.”
