The Obidient Movement has vowed to inflict terminal wounds on election riggers, including the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike.

Issuing a rig-and-die warning, the movement decried a video showing Wike speaking publicly about how he and other conspirators committed a treasonable offence against the Nigerian people in 2023 by manipulating election results to favour President Bola Tinubu and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

"Even though this reconfirms what we have always known about the outcome of the 2023 elections, it is jarring to hear it once again in a braggadocio manner from a perpetual nuisance, Wike, on national TV. The kind of criminality that Wike and his ilk have continued to commit against Nigeria is worse than a military coup, but military officers who plan a coup are often summarily dismissed, prosecuted or even hanged, while crooks like Wike are rewarded with juicy political offices," Obidient Movement said.

The group called on Wike and his allies to ensure they draft their wills before the 2027 elections, highlighting Nigerians' resolve to uphold the rig-and-die principle from voting stations to counting centers. It warned that any attempt to distort the people's choice would be met with strong resistance, potentially resulting in serious harm to those responsible.

The movement called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to return to its constitutional responsibility to organise credible elections, rather than the charade it has been staging since 2019 in the name of elections.

"We must move past the era of having eternal drunks and nuisances like Wike sitting in the comfort of their rooms and writing results that determine the fate of millions of Nigerians.

"Our forefathers did not fight for independence, only for us to end up as slaves to criminals in our own land, simply because they look like us. INEC's loyalty to the APC must therefore come to an end, as Nigerians will strongly resist any attempt to keep them in perpetual bondage under Tinubu's sadistic and wasteful government. INEC's responsibility is to the Nigerian people and to the integrity of the electoral process.

"The same applies to the security agencies. Their duty is to protect voters, electoral officials and the democratic process, not to intimidate citizens, suppress opposition or facilitate electoral manipulation. They are security agents because Nigerians have chosen to recognise them as such. But if they continue to see themselves as primarily loyal to criminals, and not to the Nigerian people, Nigerians will also treat them as enemies, the same way an armed robber breaking into any house at night is regarded as an enemy.

"In 2027, Nigerians are not going to court, and will not accept results written by Tinubu, Wike, and a compromised INEC. So, the only way to ensure that there is no complete breakdown of law and order is for these same criminals who are already scheming against the Nigerian people to backtrack and ask themselves whether the crime they are planning to commit is worth their lives and those of their co-conspirators.

"And to the thugs that surrender themselves to be used by these criminal politicians, even though we acknowledge that you are victims of this evil system, you will still have to pay for allowing yourselves to be used by these politicians. Tinubu, Wike and other politicians might use you to scatter polling units because they believe you have nuisance value. But when the election is over, they no longer need you, and they turn to their families when they need to travel on vacation or enter government house. You must get to the point where you refuse to be used by these criminals. Even you deserve a good life," it said.

The movement urged voters at polling units to decide the 2027 election, not politicians in private rooms, electoral officials behind closed doors, or security agencies acting beyond their constitutional mandate. "We will insist that the announced results must reflect the votes actually cast by Nigerians."

"Nobody should mistake the peaceful nature of Nigerians for weakness. The ballot belongs to the people.

"Nobody has the right to steal it. Nobody has the right to manipulate it. And nobody who abuses public office to subvert the democratic process should expect to escape accountability. The 2027 elections must be free, fair, transparent and credible," the movement said.
