Excerpt from FCT Minister Nyesom Wike's interview on Channels TV.

SeunO: Who are the friends you still have in the PDP because you seem to have fallen out with a lot of people?

Wike: Which friend? What do you mean by friends?

SeunO: I mean, Seyi Makinde was your friend!

Wike: No, no, no, no, we did belong to the same political team, not friendship

SeunO: So, Seyi Makinde was not your friend?

Wike: No, no,no, we are all political friends, political associates and there is no law that says political associates must remain together.

SeunO: So, you have fallen out with him?

Wike: This is about the issue of keeping PDP, obeying the rules of law, allowing the Party to be what it is supposed to be.

SeunO: There are those who think that those who are saying that Seyi Makinde could be the next President of Nigeria or the Candidate of the PDP and they say it is that ambition that you are fighting. You are not happy with the possibility of Seyi Makinde been the candidate of the PDP?

Wike: What is that? What is that? We are talking about fresh animal, you are talking about crab. What is that? What do you mean by not been happy for him to be a Presidential Candidate? I mean let's not trivialize...

SeunO: You don't think his credential, his profile as a two-time Governor and the potential of the Engineer that he is, he is capable of ....

Wike: Don't get me wrong please, it's not about been a Phd holder, it's not about been an Engineer, it's not about been a lawyer. A Presidential Candidate is not waking up in the morning, I want to be a Presidential Candidate Noooooo, some people just want to run to be Presidential Candidate so that at the end of the day, they become the leader of the Party. Assuming you really want to be a Presidential Candidate, will you allow your party to have this kind of crisis?

SeunO: They said as they were trying to save the Party, you were destroying it. They were saving it, you were destroying it.

Wike: How? How? Ask them how? Can I mention? Let anybody tell me which of them have contributed to the PDP more than me, even up till now. Let any state say so.

SeunO: But you know that this Party may not be able to put up a candidate in Osun, in Ekiti and in 2027.

Wike: Ask the Governor of Osun, Adeleke, ask him. He came to see me and I told him. What are you doing? You are in danger.
